Scranton youngsters will be able to enjoy the Jefferson swimming pool again this summer thanks to the generosity of the Scranton Betterment Committee.
A bus will leave the school bus stop in Scranton on the east side of the community center at 12:45 pm each Tuesday and Thursday, beginning July 5 and continuing through Aug. 11.
The bus will return to Scranton, leaving the pool at 4:30 pm.
All youngsters must have a permission slip filed in order to participate. Children ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by a designated person included on the permission slip. Paperwork can be obtained at the Scranton office of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank or the Marchant Memorial Library.
Youngsters participating in the library’s summer reading program have the opportunity to earn free swimming passes. Stop at the library for details.
